What is Functional Training, and why should I do it?

What is functional training?

Functional training is a type of training that uses strength & conditioning, agility, and balance exercises to make activities of daily living easier. Functional training programs are specifically designed to mimic movements you do in everyday life, to help your body get stronger and feel more prepared to do them.

In short, functional training prepares your body for life!

  3. Reduce risk of injury. Functional training is designed mimic movements you do in everyday life and to help you get stronger in those movements. The stronger your body is doing those movements, the lower the risk of injury.
  4. Keep doing what you love, for longer! When you train with the purpose of preparing your body for life, you’ll feel confident and capable doing doing what you love, for longer.

Many of us have goals that look like this:

✨ I want to be able to carry my groceries.

✨ I want to be able to pick up my grandchildren.

✨ I want to be able to go for a walk without the fear of falling.

✨ I want my body to feel great while moving at every stage of life.

If any of these goals resonate with you, functional training is for you!
